In a press release this morning, Sony Computer Entertainment announced that sales for the PS3 have reached over 70 million units worldwide as of November 4th 2012. The milestone has been achieved in less than six years after the console was first launched in 2006. Sony’s PlayStation Move controller has also surpassed 15 million units as of November 11th 2012.
The PS3 now has 3,590 titles available worldwide, with more than 595 million units sold across the globe. Sony still has lots of great games lined up over the next 6-12 months, including Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, God of War: Ascension and other great titles coming in 2013.
