Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) has confirmed the date on which DC Universe Online becomes free-to-play, as originally announced last month. Originally pencilled in for this month, DC Universe Online will be switching to the free-to-play model as of November 1st.
Games will be able to play the game for free (with restrictions), or players can opt to subscribe for $5 a month and become Premium members, allowing you extra benefits such as additional character and inventory slots. If that isn’t enough for you, players can get Legendary membership by spending $15 a month. This allows you to access DLC packs at no extra cost, over 15 character slots, more than 80 inventory slots, and the ability to form unrestricted-sized leagues plus other benefits.
