Sony’s Playstation Vita has long been slated for a December release in Japan, but Sony has just announced at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco that their new portable will be hitting shelves in North America and in Europe on February 22 2012. We already knew the PSVita was expected in early 2012, but it’s good to get a confirmed date.
Available from €249.99 (RRP) [AUD$349.95 (RRP) / NZD$449.95 (RRP) / USD$249.99] for the Wi-Fi model and €299.99 (RRP) [AUD$449.95 (RRP) / NZD$549.95 (RRP) / USD$299.99] for the 3G/Wi-Fi model, PS Vita will offer uncompromised portable gaming experience, anytime, and anywhere.
