Sony have officially announced that Sackboy will be returning to your PS3s in LittleBigPlanet 2. Sony also released the first trailer to LBP2, which you can find below. LittleBigPlanet established the Play, Create, Share creative gaming genre and has enjoyed tremendous success, with well over 2 million levels created since launch and growing by the week.
Media Molecule, who is now port of Sony, is developing the sequel so you can expect the same quality and fun as the previous title (MM also developed the original game). LittleBigPlanet 2 will provide a whole new collection of tools and rules for fans to Play, Create, and Share, including an evolved approach to control and customization that has never been seen before.
LittleBigPlanet 2 not only gives players the ability to make better levels, but completely new games – think top-down racing games, multiplayer shooters, flying side-scrollers, RPGs, etc. The possibilities are really endless. LBP2 will also have a loads of new features, including revamped graphics, a fresh storyline, added accessories and equipment for Sackboy, and much, much more.
