Disney and Black Rock have released a demo for Split/Second on Xbox Live earlier today and it will soon be heading to the PlayStation Network too. Unfortunately, the demo is available exclusively to Xbox Live until May 11th 2010, which is when it will be released on PSN. The full game will be available to purchase later in May, with the North American release slated for May 18th and May 21st in Europe.
The demo lets players ride through the Airport Terminal level in race mode. It’s not just a simple race from point A to point B, since you can also trigger events like bringing down the air traffic control tower to take out your opponents.
This is the kind of reboot the racing genre needed. Looking forward to it. And lucky xbots for getting the demo earlier.
