According to a “trusted source”, PSN@Home are reporting that Sony are looking into the prospect of introducing trophies to PSOne Classics. The source indicated that games will get “5 to 10 trophies,” regardless of the length of the game. If the rumor is true, it will mean many existing PSOne games will need to be patched to include trophies.
As PSOne Classic titles are also compatible on the PSP, it raises the possibility that trophies will also be supported on the portable console. We already know that Sony is looking into the possibility of adding trophies to the PSP, but the main concern is piracy of games.
We would love to see trophies for classic titles such as Final Fantasy VII and VIII, and Metal Gear Solid to name a few.
