Nothing Compromised For Crysis 2 On PS3 Says Crytek

March 4th, 2010 / / News

Crytek studios is due to debut the Crysis franchise on consoles later this year. While the original game has breathtaking visuals to date that pushed even the highest end PC over the edge, it’s no surprise to think that the console versions would suffer from some form of visual downsampling. But that is not the case says Crytek.

In an interview with PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Crytek’s CEO Cevat Yerli said that the PS3 development of Crysis 2 is happening simultaneously with the PC version. “I don’t feel we’ve compromised anything,” he states. “We don’t need to dumb down the game; the technology provides all the horsepower we need”.

Crysis 2 is to take place in New York where an alien invasion is taking place setting the stage for you, the player, to save the day. The title is scheduled for release in Q4 2010.
