Gran Turismo 5 Development 90% Complete

January 17th, 2010 / Niraj Shah / News
4

Earlier this week we reported that GT5 was being delayed in Japan, with a new release date to be announced. Well, it turns out that the game isn’t completely finished yet. Speaking in an interview with USA Today at CES earlier this month, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi said: “About 90% of the game is done. We are just working on the last 10% and polishing up everything.”

Funnily enough, GT5 could also include compatibility for the motion controller. Yamauchirevealed that the game could use the PlayStation Motion Controller, but only for certain sections of the racer:

“It might be used to maybe control the user interface like you would a mouse, but that’s the extent we would use it for.”

The new release date is yet to be announced for Japan, and North American and Europe will hopefully be getting an official release date soon.

Development, Gran Turismo 5
