Assassin’s Creed 3 In Development

January 15th, 2010 / Niraj Shah / News

A new Assassin’s Creed title is under development according to Ubisoft, and is being developed by the same studio behind AC2: Ubisoft Montreal. The new title will star Ezio and will be a “follow-up” to AC2. CVG reported yesterday that Ubisoft was hard at work on a sequel, which the company is due to release before March 2011.

“We have a new Assassin’s Creed that we expect will be a very high quality product that as well as an offline component will have a multiplayer component,” Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said today. “It is the same studios because it’s not only one studio creating the game, but an association of studios and they are working together to make it happen.”

A fellow Ubisoft spokesman then added: “The game will take place with the same hero, which is Ezio, and will follow-up the story that took place in Assassin’s Creed 2.”

I loved number 2 so much.. and the ending it had, wow..I NEED the 3rd one now. Amazing story, and amazing detail, I still can’t believe it.

@DaLi Don’t forget a lot of the game mechanics can be reused, so just requires ubisoft to create a new world, story [which they prob already got] and cinematics.

Couldnt they leave it a couple of years, so that its fresh again? Maybe for the next gen of consoles? Looks just like another cash cow to me
