Salem & Rios Cause Havoc In London In New Army of Two: The 40th Day Trailer

January 4th, 2010 / Niraj Shah / News

The heroes of Army of Two: The 40th Day Salem & Rios have come to London from their home in Montreal to help promote the launch of their brand new video game. The pair’s antics, captured in a new trailer released today, show Salem and Rios speaking with BBC 1Xtra’s Rampage Crew – Mike Anthony and Treble T – getting Kara Tointon to do their make-up, signing copies of the game for fans (including The Inbetweeners star and robot dance maestro Blake Harrison), rocking out with music act Pint Shot Riot, and generally creating havoc all over the city. Check out the trailer below.

The trailer utilises the same incredible CGI technology last seen when Salem and Rios headed to EA’s Montreal studios. Army of Two: The 40th Day is released in the UK on 15th January 2010 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP.

Hey is this game only playable in co-op mode? Can one not play solo? I tried the demo but it had no solo option – that sucks.

@ice2kewl The demo is multiplayer, but the full game will have a single-player campaign too.

@Niraj Shah That’s nice to know. I didn’t actually play the first one because the metacritic score sucked. This one is scoring pretty well on metacritics so far at 8.9 – so might give this one a go. You think I should play the 1st one before this?

If you want a bit of background then it might be worth playing the first game. I actually rented it from LOVEFiLM.

Thanks – added to lovefilm list! Though with a number of hot titles out this month and next month, i probably wont get round to the AO2 series till april/may!
