How do I report a PSN user to Sony?

January 1st, 2010 / Niraj Shah / FAQs

If you find a PSN user causing trouble, cheating or offending anyone you can report the user to Sony who can then take appropriate action. Cheating is one of the main reasons we recommend reporting, as these players spoil the fun for everyone. This could involve exploiting glitches in the game to get ahead or use of other non-permitted action.

You can use Sony’s Grief Reporting service to report such users.

Im demanding StanLSU and SuperGzz be banned from psn network. Yesterday I was playing & overheard them making racial remarks over their headsets when I told them to Stop they started talking about fucking My Wife and My Kids also calling My Kids “retarded” You NEVER bring a MAN’S Family into things. If nothing is done I will hold Sony responsible for whatever happens

I, too, am fed up up of having to report PATBADBOY23. Still at it to this very day. I’m sick of it. He, like the guys above, not only cheats but starts messaging people he doesn’t like or race faster than him saying he’s f**ked their mother, threatens people with a virus (he’s just bluffing) and likes to cause arguments between other members of the room on chat. He’s not just a cheat. He’s a parasite. With all the evidence laid out online how much more needs to be done to kick him off?

    Customer Services –

Yesterday I submitted a refund request for 3 transactions for Wallet Top Ups made via my PS4 by my 8 yr old son whom seemed to have guessed my security password. These 3 transactions were made without my knowledge taken direct from my Paypal linked account which I have now removed, but I now have the full story given to me by my 8yr old son.

Apparently a fellow fortnight user by the name of either “Midas_Always” or Always_Midas” not sure whether its Midas, Midus, Mitas or Mitus & I dont know whether its a – or _ as it seems he has disappeared. He requested a my son to gift him £17.99 worth of Fortnite V-Bucks in exchange for a free Fortnite pass of some sort. My son was playing Battle Royle with this user between 14:29 & 15:29 on Sunday the 28th of June.

Could I possibly have this traced & get a transaction reversal / refund?

Could you possible get back to me asap in regards to this & let me know if there is anything that can be done overall.

    Sincerely – J.P.Martin.

      Hi Jason.

Sorry, we can’t help you directly with this as it’s a matter for PlayStation Support and possible Fortnite to investigate. It’s clear that there was a case of fraud/misrepresentation going on by the other player, but it will be difficult to track down unless you can identify them. The PS4 may have recorded who the player was under “Friends” > “Recently Met”, which have captured their PSN ID. There is also the question of why your 8 year old son was playing a game met for ages 12 and over, which may not work in your favour.

Good luck and we hope you get a refund.
