Once again, rumors of the PS3 Slim are coming in thick and fast. This time, the rumors suggest the PS3 Slim will be released in August, and will come bundled with Madden NFL 2010. The Madden NFL bundle is said to launch on August 14th 2009, which is a few days ahead of Sony’s Press Conference at GamesCom. The rumors are from the latest 1UP podcast (transcript below).
1 hour and 26 minutes into the podcast, you hear:
“It’s gonna be in August. Everything I’ve heard says it’s coming in August, it’s tied with Madden.”
It was originally though that Sony will announce the PS3 Slim at their three hour press conference at GamesCom, which could still happen. We are skeptical about this rumor as Sony has never released a product before a major announcement.
