Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been patched on the PS3 to version 1.09. The patch, which weighs in at around 15mb fixes a number of issues including the care package glitches in the game and extra measures to prevent experience point hacking.
Despite Modern Warfare 2 being released in November 2009, it continued to dominate the global games chart through to the end of 2009. According to MVC, GfK-ChartTrack has confirmed that Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sold nearly 12m units worldwide last year. More precisely, the game sold 11.86m units before 2009 came to an end.
Patch v1.08 is now available to download for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in Europe. The patch contains fixes for the care package and the Elevator glitches as well as the 10th prestige glitch hack. A US patch is currently in the certification process and should be available soon.
As promised by Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling, Modern Warfare 2 patch v1.06 is now available to download. While the patch fixes a whole bunch of glitches and bugs, there are still many unfixed issues in the game. Two of the biggest bugs, commonly called the “javelin glitch” and the “care package glitch”, are fixed with this latest patch.
Another patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is now available for download. The patch improves the matchmaking system making it easier to find a well balanced match with an adequate number of players. Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling announced the release of patch v1.05 via twitter, and also confirmed that patch v1.06 is in the works. Unfortunately, patch v1.05 does not fix the recently discovered “Javelin” glitch.
Remember the Modern Warfare 2 Special-Ops Trophy Hack we posted earlier this week? Well, a new hack has been discovered, this time for unlocking the Veteran Mission Trophies. Just like the previous hack, you simply need to edit your gamesave data with the file below and replay a mission to unlock every mission in Veteran difficulty. If you are having a hard time earning the 69 stars in the Special-Ops missions in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, we have a little surprise for you. The hack, which was discovered by Nis-Gens aka MagicN, uses a savegame exploit to unlock all the trophies for Spec Ops – thats up to 11 trophies depending on how many you may have already unlocked. A new patch is now available to download for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The patch fixes the PlayStation 3 invite problems that have been happening since the game launched earlier this week. Robert Bowling, Director of Communications and Community Manager for Infinity Ward, announced the release of the patch on twitter, saying “invites on PSN are good to go now.”
A new patch for Modern Warfare 2 is now available to download, addressing the trophy bug we wrote about earlier this week. The v1.02 patch, however, does not address other issues in the game, such as problems in inviting friends to join in a multiplayer game via the Party System. A new patch will be released this Friday to address some of the other issues in the game.
After booting up our copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the first time, you will be prompted to download a 15mb patch for the game. However, it seems that this patch is causing issues with the trophy system. On playing the game for the first time, the trophy list should be loaded on to your console, but this isn’t always the case. As a result, you will not be able to earn any trophies unless the list has been loaded.
