Sony and Naughty Dog have treated gamers to a in-depth look at The Last of Us II with plenty of never before seen gameplay footage ahead of the games release. The 23-minute showcase reveals more about the game, including the new and refined gameplay mechanics, and the vast environments.
The game will take players from Jackson, Wyoming to the Pacific Northwest, through unexplored parts of the country. The gameplay footage (below), shows Ellie using horses and boats as means of transportation, as well as swimming.
Part II also takes a more open world approach, allowing players to discover new area and side quests, which also means coming into contact with factions. The broadcast delves into the two main factions you’ll come up against including the Washington Liberation Front and the Seraphites.
The Last of Us Part II launches exclusively on the PS4 on 19th June 2020.
