Sony has announced the latest hardware sales for the PS4 and PlayStation VR following Black Friday. As of 3rd December 2017, the PS4 has sold 70.6 million units worldwide – that’s over 10 million additional units since June 2017. In addition, Sony revealed that sales of the PlayStation VR headset has broken the 2 million mark.
No doubt that the price slash on the PlayStation VR and PS4 during Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales helped Sony reach the new milestones. With Christmas around the corner, you can expect more units of both to sell well in the next couple of weeks.
Sony didn’t break down the figure by PS4 model, so it will be interesting to see how the PS4 Pro is measuring up to the PS4 Slim. The PS4 Pro did get a decent price cut over Black Friday, but there are no concrete numbers on the model.
