Telltale Games has confirmed that season 3 of it’s The Walking Dead series will be coming to consoles and other platforms in November 2016. Season 3, subtitled A New Frontier, will be split over 5 episodes, with the first available in November. The events in Season 3 are set four years after the events in Season 1.
“This third new season will serve as both a continuation of what’s come before in our story, as well as an all-new beginning set nearly four years after the outbreak events of Season One,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games.
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier also introduces a new playable character: Javier. Players will take on the role of both Clementine and Javier, each with their own responsibilities and motives:
- Javier is trying to keep his family together and safe in a world still under threat from zombies, as well as some of the more dangerous humans.
- Clementine, now a teenage, has people she is trying to protect too, while keeping some events from her past hidden.
