Grand Theft Auto V is doing extremely well in retail, with develop reporting that publisher Take-Two has shipped a over 45 million copies to retail, including 10 million units for PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version of the game is expected to release on March 24th, which will further boost sales.
The latest financial report doesn’t include digital sales of the game across the various platforms, which could be in the millions too. It just goes to show that well developed games sell incredibly well.
GTA V is the best selling game ever in the UK, and the title also broke worldwide records as the fastest-selling entertainment launch in history in 2013, making $1bn in sales in its first three dales on sale.
