If you’ve pre-ordered the retail version of GTA V, don’t expect to get the game until after release day unless you’ve paid for next-day delivery. Rockstar have requested that retailers don’t dispatch copies of the game until the day before official release to avoid customers getting the game early.
A statement from retailer GAME to customers reads:
They have requested that no UK retailer despatch GTA V before the 16th September and GAME, along with all reputable retailers, will respect this request.
However, not all retailers will honour this request, and you may find gamers playing the game a day or two before official release. In the past, some retailers have sold games before the street date, though it’s quite rare.
