LOVEFiLM, the DVD, Blu-ray and Video game rental service operating in a number of European countries, will stop renting out games to customers. The Amazon owned company says new customers are no longer able to sign-up to the games rental service, but existing customers, already subscribed to the game rental service, will be able to rent games until further notice.
“We are no longer offering games rental packages to either new customers, or those who wish to change from a non-games package,” says the on-site FAQ.
A LOVEFiLM representative confirmed that “existing customers with a games package will be able to continue renting games until further notice.”
It’s not clear if the company will continue to add new titles to their existing games line-up, but its unlikely that PS4 and Xbox One games will be added to the service for existing customers. If you are already have a games package with LOVEFiLM, you are recommended to keep the package until the games rental service completely stops.
