The new “Super Slim” PS3 model has a recommended retail price across Europe, but SCEE won’t have a set price in the UK. Instead, Sony will let individual retailers set the price themselves. The new models hit stores from September 28th, but gamers should shop around for the best deals before committing to purchasing it.
Across Europe, the 500GB model will be available from September 28th 2012 and will retail for €299.99. The wallet-friendly 12GB version will arrive on October 12th 2012, and will retail for €229.99.
In a statement, Sony said:
“With regards to price, we no longer set an RRP, instead, that will be dictated by individual retailers themselves.”
