The Last of Us will Include Multiplayer But No Campaign Co-Op

The Last of Us, currently being developed by Naughty Dog, will support multiplayer according to game director Neil Druckmann. Speaking to Gaming Examiner, Druckmann didn’t reveal details abou the multiplayer mode, but said there will be no “co-op within the main campaign.”

That doesn’t rule out co-op completely, however, just that it won’t be a two player version of the single player, with one controlling Joel and the other Ellie.

Druckmann also revealed that “there is only one ending to the story and the game,” but he confirms that the game has “plenty of choices for the player to make either in combat or exploring the environment.”
