Activision’s Robert Bowling has confirmed (via Twitter) that upcoming shooter Modern Warfare 3 will feature split-screen multiplayer. His exact tweet mentioned “online splitscreen multiplayer”, which will be great news for gamers will siblings and only one PS3 between them.
Bowling (aka @fourzerotwo) tweeted:
“@skar I can confirm it, #MW3 does have online splitscreen multiplayer. Your wife will be very happy.”
Now gamers will just need to make sure they have a big enough TV to fully utilize the split-screen gameplay. If Modern Warfare 3 also supports 3D gameplay, gamers will be able to make use of the SimulView technology in the upcoming PlayStation 3D Display.
Now, let me go and convince my wife-to-be to play the game with me…
