Naughty Dog has insisted that PlayStation 3 exclusive sequel Uncharted 2: Among Thieves doesn’t wrap up Nathan Drake’s treasure hunting escapades, hinting that the brash adventurer will return for more high-octane, globe-trotting thrills later down the line. The developer is keen to continue Drake’s story as long as fans want more of it.
Speaking during a video interview over on the Official U.S. PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog’s Amy Hennig commented: “[Uncharted 2] doesn’t conclude the story at all,” adding, “The expectation with Uncharted 2 is that it can be an ongoing franchise as long as people want more of it. All these stories are self-contained.”
“You don’t have to play the last one to play this one. Obviously, you’re going to get a little bit more out of it if you have. But [Nathan Drake]’s going to have a lot of adventures, thank god.”
