Nathan Drake is soon to appear at a cinema near you. Sony Computer Entertainment has signed a deal with Columbia Pictures for a movie adaptation of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and it will be produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner. Sony has been working with Avi and the folks and Columbia for quite some time and additional details on the film will be released in the near future.
If you’ve played the game, you can imagine how easily it can be turned into a movie. Those cinematic cutscenes in-between gameplay is a taste of what’s to come on the big screen. IMDB has the movie scheduled for a 2011 release, but this is subject to change.
