This is the original Call of Duty from 2003. It’ll be available for free with the Special and Hardened edition of Modern Warfare 2. It’ll also be available for purchase on the PS Store.
The PSOne classic Call of Duty has been removed from the European PlayStation Store, “as it was never supposed to be available for purchase,” according to MusterBuster on the European PlayStation Forum. Currently, only gamers who have purchased Modern Warfare 2 can download Call of Duty, using the voucher code found in the game case.
For a limited time only, all Call of Duty: World at War map packs are half price on the PlayStation Store. The three World at War map packs are available for half price until November 1st 2009 and only to North America – sorry Europe! If you are missing one of the three packs, this is a perfect time to complete your collection.
Modern Warfare 2 is the sixth entry in the Call of Duty franchise, this next game brings back developer Infinity Ward as the general in command. The title has a total of 51 trophies with more to be added as downloadable content becomes available next year.
UK retail giant GAME.co.uk has lifted the lid on an exclusive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Veteran Edition pack. Available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the hotly anticipated shooter, the Veteran Edition will set you back a whopping £119.99 and includes the Hardened Edition of the title (that is, an artbook, a card to download the original Call of Duty and a fancy steel book case) along with a gift box and Captain Soap MacTavish figure. The Veteran Edition costs the same as the Prestige Edition, but you don’t get the cool Night Vision Goggles.
