Yakuza 3 Review

Yakuza has always been a game that has been immensely popular in Japan while only gaining relative success on western shores among a niche market. Fans of the Yakuza franchise have been asking for it for a long time and with Yakuza 4 about to hit Japan us western gamers have finally got our chance to experience all that Yakuza has to offer in the form of Yakuza 3. Does it emerge victorious or get reduced to a bloody, beaten pile on the floor?

Lost Planet 2 Impressions

We were recently invited down to a secret location near London Bridge to attend a Lost Planet 2 preview event hosted by Capcom. At the event we got a chance to play some 8 v 8 competitive multi-player and 4 player co-op. Here is what we though of the upcoming game, expected in May 2010.

Bioshock 2 Review

The original Bioshock was a massive hit upon its release in 2007, critics and gamers alike adored it. On its surface it seemed like “another FPS” but delve a little deeper and you soon realised it was much more than that. It was all about the combination of the first person gameplay with the stunning world called Rapture. With its brilliant art deco style, this destroyed underwater utopia was the setting for one fantastic rollercoaster ride of a story. The eerie atmosphere combined with some great twist and turns kept players engrossed right until the end.

Darksiders Review

Darksiders is another hot game starting off the 2010 line-up. Darksiders is an action-adventure video game developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ. The game takes its inspiration from the apocalypse and battle of Armageddon described in the Book of Revelation, with the player taking the role of “War”, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Bayonetta Review

With the holidays just gone by, you are probably looking forward to this year’s games line-up with what little cash you have left. 2010 has started off with a great new title from Hideki Kiyama: Bayonetta. Bayonetta kicks off by introducing the player to the world of the female protagonist via a prologue. You are thrown straight into the action to partake in a mini action sequence where you will find yourself taking on various enemies while plummeting through the sky on a piece of debris.
