Some images found on the PlayStation Website suggest that Facebook and Customizable profile cards will be coming to the PlayStation 3 in a future firmware update. The images have since been taken down from the UK PlayStation Website but its a little too late, as this story is spreading like rapid fire across the Internet.
The screenshots below also show a change to the Photo menu on the XMB. It isn’t clear if the new features will be added in the next update or one further down the line. Hopefully, a official announcement from Sony will clear things up shortly.
Such good news hopefully this will happen soon as the playstations browser does not support facebook right now. Would be a fabulous additional feature, keeping us PS3 owners in the same league as owr Xbox 360 counterparts.
