Zombie Apocalypse Coming to PSN
A new downloadable game is coming to the PlayStation Network next month: Zombie Apocalypse. Zombie Apocalypse is pure and gory wish fulfillment, developed by Nihilistic. Multiplayer is a key part of this game with four-player online and offline co-op gameplay. The game has four playable characters: Harlan Woods, heavily inspired by the lead character in George Romero’s original Night of the Living Dead film; Natalie Flores, a tough but mentally-unstable female lead; Ed Fragsen, the lonely and broken security guard with nothing left to lose; and Jimmy86, the arcade-rat geek who’s really a reflection of the game designers themselves.
Zombie Apocalypse is a twin-stick shooter that casts you as one of four survivors above. Your goal is to survive wave after wave of flesh-hungry zombies for as many days as you can. You’ll always have a chainsaw and machine gun with unlimited ammo (shooting’s controlled via the right stick), but there will be ten other weapons such as the chaingun and flamethrower for your to pick up and take on the undead with
The game features seven different environments from an Airport, a Junkyard, to a Town Square and more. There are 55 levels in total (or days) to play through, each increasing in difficulty. Online and offline multiplayer is supported in all game modes including the punishing “7 Days of Hell” and “Hardcore” modes. There will be lots of trophies to unlock as you play through the game.
