If you are using Firmware 2.40 or greater, pressing the PS button will bring up the in-game XMB (if you are in-game) or the old style menu if you are not. If you are in-game, you can bring up the old style menu by holding down the PS Button. The old style menu only allows you to do a limited number of things:

• turn off console
• turn off controller
• reassign controllers (in-game only)
• vibration settings (in-game only)
• game upscaling and smoothing options (PS/PS2 games only)
